No. 44
Old Hollywood. Engineered to the Millimeter.
Some gemstones arrive with legendary reputations.
Others make their own.
At the center of this bespoke pair sits 12.75 carats of heated East African rubies whose appeal has very little to do with geography and everything to do with what happens when they meet the light.
The color is electric. Rich without becoming heavy. Saturated without sacrificing transparency. Their vivid red possesses a clarity that feels alive—less restrained than the reds history taught us to covet, and all the more unforgettable because of it.
Finding one ruby with this balance is uncommon.
Finding two that speak the same language is another matter entirely.
Long before the first sketch, I assembled a curation of exceptional rubies spanning many origins, qualities, and price points. These weren't selected because they carried the most celebrated paperwork. They were selected because, among stones whose collective value reached well into the millions, these refused to be ignored.
Sometimes rarity is documented.
Sometimes it's simply undeniable.
Everything that followed was built around them.
The composition draws from the glamour of Old Hollywood without becoming nostalgic. Pear brilliants, marquise diamonds, rounds, and carefully graduated ovals surround each ruby in a silhouette that feels inevitable rather than decorative.
Nothing about the arrangement was accidental.
Every diamond was sourced individually and evaluated not simply for color and clarity, but for its exact proportions, faceting pattern, optical performance, and millimeter-perfect dimensions. Alter one stone, and the architecture changed. The gemstone curation evolved alongside the engineering until neither could exist without the other.
Before a single seat was cut, the earrings were built digitally, refined through CAD, and adjusted repeatedly until every gallery, bearing, transition, and angle resolved exactly as intended.
The gemstones weren't selected to fit the design.
The design was refined until it deserved the gemstones.
The result is a pair of earrings that feels effortless only because nothing about their creation was.
Created for one collector.

The Gemstone Curation
Every remarkable piece begins long before fabrication. This composition was assembled one stone at a time, refining proportions, rhythm, and light until the gemstones themselves dictated what the earrings wanted to become.
The Engineering
With every gemstone individually 3D scanned, the design could finally be translated into structure. Every bearing, gallery, seat, and transition was resolved around the exact geometry of the stones before a single component entered production.
