A New York dealer approached me with a striking brief: design earrings around a matched set of D color, Internally Flawless briolette diamonds — stones that needed almost nothing… but deserved everything.
I kept the silhouette disciplined and spare: another pair of briolettes at the top, joined by a fine chain of round brilliants to let them move exactly the way light wants them to move.
To secure such irregular outlines without smothering them, I built sculptural compass-style prongs into an open, airy wire back — an elegant way to hold shape and protect integrity without turning the diamonds into a hall of mirrored metal. The stones stay dimensional. Alive. Present.
Uncomplicated. Quietly decadent. Entirely intentional.
