I source through cutters and suppliers I trust, searching broadly enough to understand what the market is actually offering without losing sight of the brief.

Proportion. Performance. Rarity. Treatment or origin when relevant. And the harder-to-quantify qualities that determine how a stone actually feels in person.

The right stone should have real competition.

Otherwise, we haven’t searched far enough.

Once the field is strong, I edit.

Sometimes the final curation contains stones that look nearly interchangeable on paper.

They aren’t.

One may carry its weight better.
One may face up longer.
One may stay more alive in motion.
One may simply have more presence.

My job is to make those differences visible before you have to make the decision.

Every stone is individually photographed, labeled and explained.

Not to turn you into a gemologist.

To make the decision legible.

Why one ratio feels better. Why one facet pattern returns light differently. Why two stones with nearly identical grading can feel completely different in person.

The goal is not more information.

It is enough understanding to know what you’re choosing—and why.

There is rarely one universally correct answer.

There is the stone that best answers your particular set of priorities.

Once that becomes clear, the search is over.

If the stone is part of a commission, the design begins with what it already tells us: its proportions, character and demands.

If not, the curation ends exactly where it should.

You leave with the right stone—not simply a beautiful one.
